Hammond Park Catholic Primary School
Campus and Play Space
Client: Catholic Education Office

At Hammond Park Primary School, buildings are sited within their natural bush landscape, and centred around a grass play area. The Four Landscape Studio team worked together with EIW Architects, students and staff to create a play and educational landscape to complement the School’s Junior Primary buildings.
Together, the design team developed a large grassed play space under existing trees, numerous nature play spaces, and two bush shelters for small group activities, including art and play-based learning.
Extensive site analysis ensured that a large number of Eucalyptus and Banksia species were retained and protected. Additionally, many Xanthorrhoea were salvaged from the site and reused within the school landscape.
